South Everett Rides On Wednesdays (Steady-Moderate) Canceled

Details

Invitation: Come and join us for an evening ride from mid April though August. The routes are about 25-28 miles and check out pretty places and views throughout Everett, Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Snohomish Valley, Mukilteo and Edmonds. They are both urban and rural in character. Paces are offered as ride leaders are available.

Route and Cue sheet for today: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7186882 (cue sheets will no be provided at the start)

The route flies down into the Snohomish Valley and heads to pretty much the most northern part of Everett along the waterfront. Due to road construction we are likely not able to enjoy as much of the views on our south bound journey, and instead will travel through the neighborhood, pick up the ever turning Interurban trail before we are back on our homestead.

Stats: 26.2 miles, 1144 ft elevation. This will be an easy peasy route compared to the last two weeks: a down hill that gets recovered in a very gentle fashion.

Paces offered today: Steady with Larry DeBardi and TBA and Moderate with Alicia Murai and Michael Cunanan

Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. There is no scheduled rest stop. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain or other unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled by 4:00 pm, it will be posted in the comment section. In that case the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
