Saturday Morning Rides in Snohomish County: Come and check out the the beauty of Snohomish County this fall; we will cover pretty much every corner! Routes start around 35 miles at the beginning of each month and increase to about 50-55 miles at the end of each month. The elevation averages 50ft/mile.

READ THE DIRECTIONS TO THE START!!!

Today we go around the edge of Monroe and then start climbing into beautiful rural Snohomish County. Since this is such a rural route, we will have to be mindful of sharing the road with the cars. Please: SINGLE file (and you might bring some extra snacks). We swing around Lake Roesiger and enjoy a view of the Snohomish Valley and Monroe before descending into town.

Stats: 40.7 miles, 2219ft elevation, hilly

Rest stop: MP 23 Lake Roesiger General Store. Please, rest room use only with purchase or pay $1.

Paces and Ride Leaders:

Steady (12-14 mi/h) with Keith Miller and Jeri Bernstein

Moderate (14-16 mi/h) with Dorothé Reijnders

Brisk (16-18 mi/h) with Mark Keithly and Chuck Schulz

Cue-sheets are not provided; please print your copy.

Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain/snow or unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leaders will not be at the start.
