Details

Saturday Morning Rides in Snohomish County: Come and check out the the beauty of Snohomish County this fall; we will cover pretty much every corner! Routes start around 35 miles at the beginning of each month and increase to about 50-55 miles at the end of each month. The elevation averages 50ft/mile.

Route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/11208601

Cue-sheets are not provided; please print your copy.

Due to flooding our route has been changed on 11/18/15. This route heads over to Mukilteo, down towards the water (don't forget to enjoy the view while you're flying), then it takes us along the waterfront to Everett, skirts along the Trestle into the Ebey Slough and drops us off at the Snohomish Bakery. The route continues through the rural Snohomish Valley and suddenly you're in urban Mill Creek.

Stats: 48.8 miles, 2844ft elevation - FYI: it's a hilly route

Rest stop: MP 20 Starbucks, MP 34.2 Snohomish Public Restrooms

Paces and Ride Leaders:

Steady (12-14 mi/h) with Larry DeBardi and Andy Williams

Moderate (14-16 mi/h) with Michael Cunanan and Dorothé Reijnders

Brisk (16-18 mi/h) with Jack Nolan and Mike Upsall

RL mentoring available by contacting Dorothé Reijnders prior to the ride.

Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain/snow or unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leaders will not be at the start.

Ride director: Dorothé Reijnders - dorothe.nl@gmail.com or 425-870-2543.
