Exceptionally scenic country loop from Monroe to Index, Brisk Pace

This route has the most scenic views of farms, DNR forest land, and rivers available. Meet at the Lewis Street Park parking lot south of the bathrooms. You must have a back fender on your bicycle or else you will ride at the end of the group. This is your chance to maintain your fitness.

We will stop for refreshments in the town of index at the River House Café located on the beautiful Skykomish River.

You need to be prepared to fix your flat tire, but we will wait for you.

Ice and snow cancels.

Expect a low brisk pace if the rain is steady so that we can keep cool.

Distance: 54 miles

Elevation gain:2400 feet

Pace: Brisk (16-18 mph on level ground).

We will stay together or regroup at the top of hills.

Arrive at Lewis Street Park at least fifteen minutes before we ride at 10:00 AM so that you can go through the orientation that includes signing the wavier and hearing the safety talk; or better yet register for this ride on line (see below) and you will not need to read or sign the wavier in the parking lot. Bring your rain apparel.
