Snohomish - Lake Stevens - Three Lakes Rural Loop (Moderate) 37/2400

This is a lovely rural route. Many of the roads are quiet, but there are no shoulders. Riding singly file at all times is a must.

We start in the old part of Snohomish along the Pilchuck River, pick up the Centennial Trail briefly, then climb through a newer neighborhood with big houses and views of the Cascade mountains, enjoy riding along Lake Stevens, and then dive into the rolling hills of the back country with lots of big, moss covered or evergreen trees and glimpses of the power of the Pilchuck River. After on short, steep climb the sky opens en we get to enjoy a beautiful view of the Snohomish Valley. Then before you know it, we will fly down into Snohomish again.

Stats: 37 miles, 2400ft elevation, mostly rolling, but there are a few steeper hills

Rest stop: MP 22.1 Storm Lake Grocery Store - Please, no restroom use without purchase; this is a store in the middle of nowhere, and we should support its existence!

Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; I want us to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended at all times! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain or unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 06:30 in the comment section. In that case the ride leader will not be at the start.
