Camano Island Loop (multi-pace)

Details
Join us for a Saturday morning ride. We will meet at Heritage Park in Stanwood for a beautiful, low traffic, rolling route around Camano Island, including a dip down to Camano Island Park. This ride is either 47.9 and 2274' or 52.5 miles and 2612 feet of elevation gain. It will take up to 6 hours to complete depending on pace.
We will stop at milepost 23.7 at the Elger Bay Grocery and Gifts store, where riders will be able to use a restroom and purchase water and snacks if desired.
Riders should be able to sustain the appropriate pace (pace is based on flats, slower up hills or with headwinds, faster down hills or with tailwinds), read a cue sheet, change a flat (and have the requisite equipment). Please arrive 20 minutes prior so we can roll out at the posted time.
Regroup policy: Regroup at the top of hills as appropriate, waiting a reasonable amount of time and with the best interest of the group in mind. If the route is proving too difficult there is a bailout you can take that cuts 15 miles and 575 feet of elevation from the ride.
Please make sure to print your contact information clearly on the waiver and be sure to print a cue sheet if you are unfamiliar with the route.
Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels. If cancellation occurs, an update will be posted in the comments section 2 hours prior to the start time. Ride Leader will not be at the starting point if ride is cancelled.
