Mountain Bike Ride - Grand Ridge/Coal Mine Loop 12 mi, self paced
Details
Come join me for a fun work out on your mountain bike. We'll meet at the Duthie Hill Mountain Bike parking lot and then head across the street to Grand Ridge.
The stretch of Grand Ridge that we will do is not very technical but will require stamina because it includes ~ a 3 mile, fairly steep climb. It's single track, two-directional. If weather allows and conditions are acceptable, we will add the Coal Mine loop, which will be exploratory for me.
Moderately experienced riders should be fine on this ride but it is not well suited for children or very beginner riders. There are bridges, stream crossings, and steep climbs. Good fitness required for success on this ride.
Please RSVP on Cascade: https://www.cascade.org/node/39168/register
Requirements: Mountain bike, helmet, water, and snacks. There is not food available to purchase and no organized stops. There is a porta potty at the clearing but nothing on Grand Ridge.
Regroup: Since everyone climbs at their own pace, there are few regroup opportunities. Bring anything you might need to deal with mechanical issues.

Cancellation: Steady rain will cancel. In the event of known cancellation, I will post about an hour ahead of time and will not be present at the ride start.
