What we’re about

Cavan Toastmasters Club supports people living in the Cavan area, diaspora, and anyone from diverse backgrounds with an interest in public speaking, to reach their career and personal development goals, by offering a supportive and fun learning environment to practice giving prepared and impromptu speeches.

The club meets from 8:00 to 9:30 pm every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Each meeting aims to improve communication, public speaking, leadership and coaching skills.

The meeting schedule is always relatively similar:
• Members will be called upon to give prepared speeches of 5 - 7 minutes long, followed by an evaluation by selected evaluators.
• There will be an entertaining Table Topics session, members and guests alike would be invited to give impromptu 1 - 2 minute speeches on different themes.
