What we’re about

The purpose of a drum circle is to give participants an in the moment experience of their own rhythmic spirit and power. If you have never experienced "the moment" join us for our next Drum Circle Meetup! The Central Florida Drum Circle Meetup exists to promote and connect people of all ages, religions, cultures and walks of life to the various rhythm and sound healing events taking place in and around Central Florida. If you know about a local drum circle event not listed on our calendar, contact the organizers so we can work with you to inform the community about new opportunities.

This group is sponsored and supported by Mark DeMaio owner of both Caravan Learning (local hybrid school and tutoring center) and 3rd Wheel dot Org (drumming and storytelling for any age), Sean Richards owner of OakenFire Rhythms (local full service drum shop), Daniel Koenigkann owner of Living Vitalitea (local kombucha brewery), and Mark Mulligan a veteran drum circle and community leader. We are here to help people rediscover and explore the deep relationship with the rhythmic universe that permeates every aspect of our lives. OPEN HOUSE CLASS / POTLUCK / DEAD CAN DANCE

Everyone wants to break the rules. . . .
but the only way to really do it mindfully is to learn some of the rules are first.

What: Join us in our ongoing Mad Drum Circle Skills classes where we will work with all skill levels to unlock new levels of playing, mastery, confidence, health, and fun.

Philosophy: Being a cooperative player offers healing to the entire community by ensuring all participants are being heard and felt, included and exalted. This class is our collaboration in empowering these concepts.

Details: Previous experience will not be required, and there will drums available to borrow. Repeat attendance is not required, but you'll probably get the most out of it if you keep coming back. We have a thriving community of students growing who help new students acclimate.

Where: Address information will be provided to those who RSVP. It's a private location, so please do not try to attend without confirmation first.

Duration and cost: Class is approximately 1.5 hours. I will accept a $15 cash/check/online payment donation per class or other forms of barter/trade/contributions on a case by case basis.

For this special event on December 21, drum class will be free with any contribution to the potluck. Come celebrate our anniversary by drumming with us, sharing food food, and watching the timeless Dead Can Dance Toward the Within concert film on a great sound system. We can't wait to enjoy this with the community.
