The Chicago-Area Scala Enthusiasts (CASE) Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

Details
Note the New Venue this Month!
Meeting Topic: Akka Hands-on Introduction
Bring your laptop with git installed. Dean will lead a hands-on introduction to Akka. He'll update this announcement with more details before the meeting.
Update: We'll work through the following kata prepared by some of the TypeSafe guys:
https://github.com/henrikengstrom/akka-meetup-sthlm
Please clone that repo in advance, and run through the README up to the section "Starting The Parts of the Kata". That way, all the ivy downloads and initial compilation will be done in advance and we'll be ready to go!!
Also, today (4/15), you can get Ray Roestenburg's "Akka in Action" at 50% off:
https://twitter.com/rayroestenburg/status/323658432999743488
Note: As always, you must RSVP with a real name (or email it to us separately) so we can give your name to the building security ninjas in order to enter the building. Please do so by noon so we can order the right amount of food. Thanks!
Please send ideas for future meetups to the mailing list. We welcome full- or half-session length presentations and lighting talks, on topics from beginning to advanced Scala and related technologies. Hands on coding exercises are also welcome.
