Transbelief Dialogue & Nature Walk 40, "What's YOUR Path to Shangri-La?"

Welcome to our 40th Transbelief Dialogue, where we follow Aristotle's path of peripatetically discussing our differences. It's been called "Mindwalk + My Dinner with Andre!" This time, we'll stroll downstream from Minnehaha Falls to the Mississippi River during our transbelief dialogue, and after our stroll, we'll drop by the local Parkway Pizza  for after-dinner!

This Meetup is part of our group's recurring forum, The Dialogium, for facilitative, reasoning dialogue between FMCOR's very different folks!

And what will be the topic for our Dialogium 40 at Minnehaha Falls? Suggested by FMCOR friend Louis, we'll discuss:

As we stroll Wood Lake and commune with nature, we'll discuss our diverse opinions about such questions as these:

"What's your own personal Shangri-La -- your Paradise?"

"Is Shangri-La long life and health, or immortality?"

"Is 'Shangri-La' earthly wealth and luxury?"

                     Bill Gates Mansion, Seattle, WA

"Is 'Shangri-La" an earthly connection to our planet & its fellow inhabitants?"

"Is 'Shangri-La' Heaven, or Nirvana?"

"Is 'Shangri-La' the attainment of knowledge or wisdom, or its bestowal on those who follow us?"

"Is Shangri-La an external paradise, or an internal one?"

"If Shangri-La is your internal paradise, how do (or did) you reach it -- how does one best attain spiritual or ethical growth?"

"Is spiritual or ethical growth a priority we should focus on in life?"

"Have you attained your Shangri-La? If not, how can you get there -- or is it an impossible dream?"

Don't miss First Minneapolis Circle of Reason's "Dialogium & Nature Walk 40" at Minnehaha Falls, on Saturday, June 21, 2-4pm, to discuss your Path to "Shangri-La"! -- RSVP "Yes" today!

And invite your friends for our Walk & Talk -- the more different we are in The Circle of Reason, the more enlightening our conversation!

Logistics: Let us know when you RSVP if you need a carpool ride.

After our 2:00-4:00 p.m. Nature Walk-n-Talk, those who've worked up an appetite will have after-dinner at a local restaurant: Parkway Pizza (4 blocks north of the DQ) at 4359 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406, Tel:
(612) 729-9090.

(When you RSVP, please tell us: 1) If you want a carpool ride to and from our Meetup & Dinner; 2) If you need monetary assistance to attend our after-dinner; and 3) If you have suggestions for a question you'd like FMCOR to discuss at a later Dialogium.

Our path to the river was flooded out, but the walk and talk were fascinating -- it seems some of us have already found our "Shangri-La," while for others it seems a wistful dream. Thanks all.

Exactly where to meet Saturday at 2:00pm? Minehaha Pavilion? Hiawatha Statue? Pergola Garden? Sea Salt?

The early forecast for this Saturday is 78F with clouds; not too shabby! But if the paths beside Minnehaha Creek are flooded, we'll stick to the bluff paths down to the river. Hope you can join us!

Hi, Jim, glad to see you'll be joining us. No Lakewood Cemetery on this go-round; but even though we won't be strolling beside Father Time, we'll be strolling beside the Father of Waters !)
