ACMA News (Website Upgrade/Testimonials, BODs, Carnegie Hall?)

From: Alberto

Hello all,
I hope you are enjoying the Thanksgiving weekend. I have some good news to share with all of you:

ACMA Website Upgraded
The ACMA website, located at www.nycclassical.com, has undergone an extreme makeover. Our revamped site is much more user friendly and professional in appearance, please take a look!

Wanted: ACMA Testimonials
The ACMA website will soon incorporate a Testimonials page, containing brief anecdotes from ACMA members regarding:
- their passion for performing classical music
- how ACMA has made a positive impact in their musical lives.

If you would like to contribute to this page, please e-mail your testimonial (no more than 1 paragraph) to [address removed].

ACMA Board of Directors
I am proud to announce that ACMA is currently undergoing incorporation procedures in the State of New York as a nonprofit performing arts corporation. As part of these proceedings, we are required to assemble an initial Board of Directors. This initial Board will meet quarterly to provide direction for ACMA, and representation for its members. The initial Board of Directors is:

1. Alberto De Salas (Chairman)
2. Martin S. Berlin
3. Joseph Castelli
4. Nancy Cochran
5. Jane D.
6. Mayumi Lehr
7. Michael Peng
8. Brian J. Zino
Please join me in congratulating the Board, and wish them luck in the months ahead.

ACMA at Carnegie Hall?
We?re already looking forward to our Second Anniversary Concert, scheduled for the September-October 2009 timeframe. I have made a request with Carnegie Hall administration to reserve Weill Recital Hall as the venue for our next concert. I am hopeful that our request is approved; we should have a definite answer by February 2009.

If our reservation is granted, this will be a major step forward for ACMA. Our last concert proved that we are fully capable of providing highly entertaining and diverse musical performances. At Weill, we have an opportunity to bring this entertainment to a wider audience. More details to follow soon!

Reminder: our next ACMA meeting is Saturday, December 6th, 2008 (4:00-6:00 p.m.), at Turtle Bay Music School (244 East 52nd Street, Manhattan, NY)

If you have any questions, please e-mail or call me at[masked]-8565.

Best regards,
Alberto De Salas
