Chagrin Documentary Film Festival: Chagrin FallsTownship Hall / Rick's Cafe

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a chance to enjoy this mid-late summer oops October weather this weekend.

I want to thank Cindy for creating our Independent Movie Group on Facebook. Check out the site at: or search for "Cleveland Independent Movie Goers" directly. Let me know how you think it is.

A number of great movies coming up.

Dogtooth at 6:30 PM Sunday October 10. A very odd Greek film that will be sure to provoke conversation.

Then, tomorrow night, Holly is sponsoring Let Me In. This is probably one of the few American remakes that doesn't tarnish the original (the very goo "Let the Right One In"). Plus, it is in English for those Americans who can't or don't like reading subtitles. Perhaps a topic for another time. Why does Hollywood only remake good foreign films? Wouldn't it make more sense to do a remake of a film that was not so good the first time around?

On Wednesday, don't miss "The Social Network". Another Hollywood film that is garnering great reviews.

Finally, we will be attending the first annual Chagrin Documentary Film Festival. We have never done a movie in Chagrin Falls. Not only is it beautiful at this time, but we can enjoy the great shops and good eateries. I may get there a little early that day. Let me know if you are also planning on arriving early. It is at 1:15 and is $10.

When: Saturday, October 16,[masked]:15 PM

Where: Chagrin Falls Town Hall
83 N. Main Street
Chagrin Falls, OH 44022

Fee: $1.50 or $5 for 2010
