Washington St. The Unimaginable Journey of Peter Ertel is a first-person narrative documentary about an honorable man who maintained his uncommon humanity despite being trapped in a universe of hatred, destruction and death. It is also a story of the sometimes miraculous pull of the tides of fate. The film is not listed at either IMBD or Rotten Tomatoes. For information, see the following link: About the film: I was able to view this astounding doc at last year's CIFF, and definitely consider it worthy of a second viewing. This showing is part of the CDFF Winter Series. What we're about

Public Group

Declare your independence from the multiplexes and see an independent, foreign classic, documentary or any thought provoking movie. We meet at landmarks like the Cedar Lee, Cinematheque, Art Museum, or a university and work in dinner at a locally owned restaurant either before or afterward. Perhaps the best part is walking to a local pub and engaging others on the film's true meaning.

Cost to attend: $1.50 per movie or $5 for the year. Your first movie with the group is free. Fees are waived for active assistant organizers of this group or for organizers of other meetups who are funding another meetup site.
