WILDLIFE
Synopsis 14-year-old Joe is the only child of Jeanette and Jerry - a housewife and a golf pro - in a small town in 1960s Montana. Nearby, an uncontrolled forest fire rages close to the Canadian border, and when Jerry loses his job - and his sense of purpose - he decides to join the cause of fighting the fire, leaving his wife and son to fend for themselves. Suddenly forced into the role of an adult, Joe witnesses his mother's struggle as she tries to keep her head above water.

What we're about

Declare your independence from the multiplexes and see an independent, foreign classic, documentary or any thought provoking movie. We meet at landmarks like the Cedar Lee, Cinematheque, Art Museum, or a university and work in dinner at a locally owned restaurant either before or afterward. Perhaps the best part is walking to a local pub and engaging others on the film's true meaning.

Cost to attend: $1.50 per movie or $5 for the year. Your first movie with the group is free. Fees are waived for active assistant organizers of this group or for organizers of other meetups who are funding another meetup site.
