My Neighbor Totoro - September 13 at the Cinematheque

Hi everyone,
I hope you will be enjoying the beautiful Labor Day Weekend.  We have a handful of great movies coming up.  Hope to see you at one or more of these movies.
We have almost 40 people attending (!)  I saw the previews at the Cedar Lee last week and it really looks great.  If you know you are going, you might consider purchasing your ticket ahead of time.  They could be expecting a big crowd and I would hate for anyone to be shut out of the movie.  It shows this Sunday at 4:15.
A word about attendance:  Whenever we have RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS for a movie, it is absolutely imperative that your RSVP YES is a commitment.  I know that sometimes things come up, but membership in this group requires that your RSVP is up to date.  Please don't put me in the position of asking you to leave the group.   PS:  As a rule, we are better than many Meetup Groups but because we focus on local businesses, we must maintain a higher standard on attendance.
This renowned documentary explores the role of China as an economic power, and how it affects our US economy.  It is this Friday at 7:30 at the Cedar Lee.
Every year, the Cleveland Italian Festival takes place at Cleveland Cinemas.  Because it sells out, you will need to order your tickets ahead of time (about September 15).  There is an optional dinner ahead of time, which allows you to mingle with other Italian film fanatics.  Check it out.  It is a great event.
We don't see animated films very often.  But if we are going to see one, this is the one to see.  I believe it is the original Japanese version, not the American dubbed one.   This kicks off the series of the films of Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away) at the Cinematheque.  It shows Sunday September 13.
If any of these events look interesting to you, let me know and I can get you squared away to schedule one or more films.
Also, check this link for a list of all film Festivals and movie organizations in town (under menu option "Pages")
If you have already paid, thank you very much and no need to look further.
Otherwise, your dues of $5.00 are very important in  order for us to host directors coming into town and pay for the website.  Please select the link or pay your organizer AT THE NEXT GROUP EVENT if you haven't already.
