Welcome & looking forward to getting to know you!
If you are young at heart and wise in the head, balanced, healthy minded individual, and you want to network and have some fun in the Philadelphia area, then you have come to the right place! This is not a singles group, anyone can join!
We have a lot of different types of events, and most of them are designed for our members to meet new friends, network, and enjoy much of what Philly has to offer. These events may vary from interesting cultural events or live music, to simply having fun & meeting new people at a Center City happy hour.
You get to choose which events you want to attend, but please RSVP whenever possible so we know to expect you even if you plan to attend events that do not have a set capacity limit.
As terrific as MeetUp is to meet new people, Facebook seems to be an easier way to stay in touch, so I've also set-up a Facebook group called "Philly Social Adventures" that is geared to Philly area MeetUp friends, here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/574330306077914/

Online Settlers of Catan board game MeetUp -- Thursdays
·OnlineOnlineHi Group! Join us on THURSDAYS to play Settlers of Catan with the Cities & Knights + Seafarers expansions. We meet on discord and if we have more than enough for one match, then we'll break up into groups & have multiple matches going on at once!
Thursdays 7pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). it's OK to be late, but I'd suggest RSVPing so we know to expect you.

https://discord.gg/UZMmf6W3XpThese are Friendly matches that will be set-up in Catan Universe as "Custom Matches" and be sure to be ready to play C&Ks + Seafarers (another words please already be set-up to play by having already purchased these 2 expansions of the Catan base game). As friendly Custom Matches, there is no ELO won or lost, just the fun of playing! We will be playing with the turn timer to keep things moving. However, if you have never played using discord before, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how being able to talk with your fellow players moves the game along, helping with trades, etc. etc. etc. And you have the fun of getting to know who you're playing with!
We will be playing Catan online using Catan Universe. If you wish to play Catan with us, I suggest getting yourself setup in advance. The Catan Universe app has a onetime $5 charge (I think it is still $5) to play the Base game (regular Settlers of Catan). Cities & Knights and Seafarers expansions are also onetime charges, and Catan Universe used to sell a "C&Ks + Seafarers" discounted package, but I don't know the price or if they still do that in their store.
