Building a front-end style guide with Jekyll

Details

As front-end developers working on the responsive web there is a growing need to write CSS that is modular in order to effectively maintain and update your sites and applications. A style guide driven approach can go a long way to attaining this goal.

In this talk Justin Slack will sketch the advantages of using front-end style guides, what they should contain and do a practical demonstration of creating a style guide using Jekyll, a static site generator.

Doors close at 7PM, so make sure you're here before then.

Please RSVP so we can cater for drinks.
See you on the 31st!

A note on parking.

On-street parking is pretty poor in the CBD, so we've got a parking lot available across the road from the 22seven entrance on Hout Street. Use the "Park on Long" entrance and tell the guard you're going to 22seven. Then park in one of the 22seven demarcated bays (Black circles) on any level.

Hey! We're looking for speakers.

If you'd like to offer a talk on any Front-end Dev-related topics at the next meetup, please get in touch with Steve, Justin, or Shaun.
