Merry Christmas/ Holidays and Happy New Year!

Thanks everyone for making this a wonderful year of GREAT outdoor adventures and Fabulous Fun! I cherish every experience I had with each of you, so want to thank everyone for the effort to get out and do things together! I am amazed at all the trips we did as I look back on them, and look forward to many, many more together! The smiles, wonder, and fun on our faces in our pictures tell it the way it is! If you have any ideas or want to lead some adventures let me know as we continue to make our adventures great! We found some great classics we will repeat every year from being the only group allowed to adopt the great Wilderness areas of Dolly Sods and Roaring Plains with the hard work and great fun we got to enjoy this past summer escaping the heat of the East Coast, to the astounding beauty of Roan Mountain, the uniqueness of Trail Days with more hard core hikers/backpackers than anywhere else in the US, to the amazing beauty, adventures and fun of Bridge Day, to the normal classics of Old Rag, White Oak Canyon, or even easy trips such as Great Falls or the National Christmas Tree/Monuments timed just right, which has always been my Modus Operandi (MO)! However, I have learned over the past year it is the type of people we have on our trips...good, smart, fun, responsible, yet adventurous people who make the effort to get out and do things rather than talk about it, that makes us such an AWESOME group of people!!! So I salute each of you as this year draws to an end, wish you the best of the Holiday Season and know each of you have touched my heart and for the ones who keep coming back, we have started the journey towards family! Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays for our non-christian friends) Happy New Year everyone and many more Happy Trails in 2011 together!
