I am Gloria. I ran the NYC Python Meetup for 2+ years. I am now on
assignment in DC for the next year, and I was hoping to establish Office
Hours here, similar to how it runs in NYC.
I established this in NYC many months ago, and it is still going strong.
We meet weekly, and give 45 minute talks in a tiny conference room, as
well as help attendees with any questions from system admin to setup of
dev environments, language syntax and semantics, best practices, and the

The rules in NYC are very strict regarding company marketing and
recruiter attendance. Developers simply do not want to be bombarded with
marketing or recruiting material/requests when attending casual events
such as these. I hope to establish the same here, so that developers
have a place to relax and learn with peers.
I am looking for space for this recurring event. In exchange, you'd get
to attend weekly tech talks, get continuous help on any tech issues you
may be stuck on, and your company name would be mentioned regularly in
Meetup announcements. Plus, you'd be giving back to our community in a
huge way. Please contact me if interested.
