Hi folks,

It's (past) time to get the next meeting on the schedule. I've spoken to an handful of folks and here's what I'm thinking.

Open mic night
Folks will have fifteen minutes to present, discuss, or ask questions about any topics they like. Some folks have mentioned wanting to cover topics like a VIM rebuttal to last month's presentation, Overtone, kicking off a group project, Clojure/West report, etc. The idea is to schedule a handful of fifteen minute slots then leave a few open for unplanned topics. If folks are cool with this then please put names next to slots.

Pairing setup
Clojure/West Report - Daniel Glauser
VIM Smackdown - ???
Overtone intro - ???
Group project kickoff

The idea is to explore numerous directions and leave room for open discussion. I expect the open mic night to result in a format we want to stick with or getting more hour long topics on the schedule.

I spoke to a bunch of folks at Clojure/West about the challenges of running a group project at meetings. It can be hard to have a two hour coding session after a full day of work then maintain any sort of continuity with a month break between sessions. I suggest we start by getting folks comfortable with a remote pairing setup and git workflow. Then we can schedule additional fully remote project sessions. Maybe lunchtime, after work, in the evening, on the weekends. No more than an hour at a time. This would also allow non-Denver folks to be a part of the group and could enable us to bring the numerous Clojure groups together, as well as advance our skills by working on real code. I would appreciate input at the next meeting.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 11th. I look forward to seeing you there.
