Building a Local LLM Running Coach

In this session, inspired by a recent PyTexas presentation, we’ll dive into how to host and run a private LLM Running Coach entirely on your own hardware.
We’ll explore how to move beyond generic prompts and build a functional, local tool that understands pace, heart rate zones, and training loads.

We will break down:

• Local Inference: Running models on your own machine (no API fees).
• Context Injection: Feeding your running data into the model for personalized feedback.
• Agentic Behavior: Moving from "chatting" to a coach that analyzes your progress.

We’ll be doing live coding to show how to get the coach up and running using Python.

Our normal meeting and talk will start at 7pm.
