Project Night

Project Night

Details

DFW Pythoneers Project Night is an opportunity to get together informally with other Python enthusiasts and work on any project of interest, whether it be open source, job-related, or even just trying tutorials.

Beginners are welcome, and we'll have at minimum one experienced Python developer volunteering to assist if anyone gets stuck or needs recommendations about where to start.

Likewise even the more experienced developers get stuck on things sometimes, so it's often helpful to have someone else around to bounce ideas off.

Unlike other meeting formats we've tried in the past, the emphasis here is on productivity rather than socializing. This means attendees may be scattered around various different tables, and many might appear rather non-social as they focus on their laptop rather than the people around.

Btw, Taco Cabana has free wi-fi and power outlets at many tables. We have also found it that most tables are open and clean on weeknights. To justify our presence, it's probably a good idea to buy at least one item from the restaurant. I plan on eating dinner while I'm there. :-)
