This is an idea that has pros and cons, so I'm going to attempt to solve two problems at once.
We have a new member (old member rejoining?) that is from Leander. Happy to play with beginners, experienced players, but looking for players in the Leander area.
So if interested, I suspect in the "Games looking for players" section you will find an advert soon.
Regardless, what do you folks think about a database with key data from the gamers? I'd be happy to make the Excel file - it would include contact information (only what you care to share), name (first, or both first and last), game system, style, etc. I'd have to write it up and submit it to all of you for changes, so that it reflects your interests in terms of what it shows, but it wouldn't take long and everyone could find gamers in their immediate area.
Bad parts? Being contacted when you are already in a game. Poaching other players. Unwanted contacts.
Just a thought. Group decides.
Oh, and if anyone needs a flyer, or help designing such, as secretary to the group I'm happy to help. Let's get your games going!
