My apologies, I have had to cancel this month's meeting due to a family emergency and I am unable to get a replacement to host on such short notice. The next meeting will be held October 8th and I've spoken to Jon who has agreed to present at our next meeting instead.
I will post a separate meetup for our October Meeting shortly.

This month's Rockville Meetup is scheduled for September 10th at 7:00pm at ICF International. Our past meetups have all been a huge success and we invite you to join us again this month for some socializing, presentations, and networking.
Jon Raedeke will be presenting "Drupal 7 Theming Concepts". Your theme is probably 70% there with a few configurations and a little luck. To have total control over the theme, you'll need to understand the nuts and bolts of the theme layer. This session will help you to understand theme files, functions and inheritance in addition to general strategies for markup and layout control.
Jon is a graphic designer and Drupal themer working at the US Government Printing Office (GPO). His career path reads like a history of media. Getting his start as a letterpress printer, he hand set type and learned the nuances of typography. Then after a few years in corporate print design, Jon transitioned into web design and front end development at GPO where he has themed several Federal Drupal sites over the past 4 years, including the new Department of Commerce Drupal platform. This will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about Drupal theming!
