Drupal NoVA Meetup - Solr

Please join us on October 27th at 7pm for the following presentation, pizza and drinks! (Note: While our meetup typically is the third Tuesday of the month, this meetup is on the fourth Tuesday).

Pedja Grujic from New Target (http://www.newtarget.com/about/team/pedja-grujic) will be leading a session on Solr.

In this hands on session, attendees will learn how to setup and integrate Drupal with the Apache Solr search engine. We’ll discuss advanced Solr setup, inclusion of advanced facets, and other advanced elements that create a great search experience on Drupal/Solr websites. We will also discuss the advantages of using additional tools, such as Tika, with Solr to improve performance and to index documents like PDFs.

If you're interested in how to create a better search experience on your Drupal website, have advanced search integration questions, and you're a web developer that has worked with Drupal and Solr before, this is the session for you.
