Freegan feast!

A FREE and mostly vegan community meal made with love, mostly using food we rescued from the trash the night before. We share meal planning, cooking, and other food prep skills, tell stories and jokes, meet new people and reconnect with old friends, and generally unplug from the current world order as we build community.

If you are not a skilled cook, it is OK! If you are, hooray! You can plan a dish or two from the ingredients we have on hand, and get help if you want it. All participants should plan help in some way, even if work or other commitments prevent you arriving right on time. Anyone who comes late should count on staying to help cleanup.

We eat at 8pm, so don't plan on arriving after that.

We rotate the location of the feast, most often in the homes of our volunteers. If you would like to offer your kitchen and living room, for this event or a future one, hooray! Hosting a feast entails coming to the trash tour the night before and bringing home at least some of the food we will be preparing.

As is always the case with our freegan feasts, the RSVP must be certain, and if it turns out you can't come you must cancel by at least 24 hours in advance – please don't say "yes" and then not show up! Thanks for being considerate of all participants. Media WILL be welcome, by appointment only.
