What we’re about

P assion for mountains
E nthusiasm for 5000 ft
A dventurous scrambling
K omradery for camping
S nacks to share
"PEAKS" guides this group to have fun, be safe and become friends. We enjoy gourmet potlucks, and anywhere in the outdoors, be it in the mountains, on the water or in the air. We mostly hike and snowshoe, scramble and ski, occasionally sail and kayak, fly, and perhaps travel together to exotic adventurous places around the world.

Please remember, our organizers are not guides. We are not professional trainers or experts. You are responsible for your own safety and your preparation for the events. You need to be properly equipped for all weather conditions, un-anticipated delays by other participants or for whatever reason, and have the skill level necessary to participate.

All participants must have a Waiver ( http://files.meetup.c...) on file. By signing up for an event, you certify that you have signed and delivered the Waiver. Regardless of the waiver mentioned above, by joining as a members of ePeaks meetup Group, or joining in an event, you assume responsibility for yourself and your guests. While novices are welcome, you should know your own limitation. Also, you agree to the "Meetup terms of service and conditions" . You can not be a minor to sign up with us.

We want everybody to enjoy this and all participants need to help the organizers keep it simple. Thus:

A: Show up on time, or call/cancel in time. Others may want to go. Call, don't just TEXT.
B: Come equipped for the event! Have your 11 essentials!
C: Stay together, or make sure if the group splits into two, each has a leader with experience.
D: Be safe and make sure others are too! If you are not comfortable on an event, speak up and ask for help.
E: Pay gas money to the driver.
F: Share snacks and help other to make it fun for everybody. See http://www.epeaks.com... for info

We do not invite everybody into the group or onto events, as too many people make it impossible to enjoy the outdoors and makes it unsafe. We try to invite people with the same speed, goals and skill levels, and sometimes some novices to start learning as well.

We are slow and steady when doing adventures hikes, scrambles and trips. We will get there, and are not afraid of coming back late with flash lights. We are equipped. We take care of everybody and try our best to make sure that everyone has a good time and return home safely.

So… Welcome and enjoy the group and its volunteer organizers.
