Dear FVCP members, I'm organizing an event at the Elgin Technology
Center that I thought might be of interest to you.

Have you heard of Firefox OS (formally "boot to gecko")? It's
Mozilla's open source mobile operating system, with apps built on web
technology. Mozilla is putting on a series of Firefox OS App Days
around the world

Sadly, Mozilla was only able to put on a limited number of events, and
since they are focusing on the international markets, only California
got a U.S. event. However, they've also posted slide decks, videos,
documentation, and other materials both for general reference and for
the event organizers - making it possible to put on an unofficial app
day ourselves.

We're holding a Firefox OS App Day as part of the Elgin Technology
Center's regular hack events - join us Saturday February 2 to learn
about a true mobile web platform and spend some time playing around
with the simulator.

If you'd like join the ETC for our hack nights (such tonight the 23rd)
and other events, sign up on meetup:

I've also set up an Eventbrite page if you're just visiting:

p.s. Breaking: You'll soon be able to order official Firefox OS
preview phones.
