Event Description

Le Bruit des Glaçons (the Clink of Ice)

Ciné Francophone at Letelier Theater

A besuited stranger (Albert Dupontel) rings the doorbell of the remote country villa of alcoholic novelist, Charles Faulque (Jean Dujardin) and announces himself as the writer’s cancer, adding that his victim only has a few months to live.

Written and directed by veteran French provocateur Bertrand Blier (Trop Belle Pour Toi), this movie is an humoristic and delicate description of how one can try to live with a fatal illness. As in his previous films, Blier is able to wittingly criticize the bourgeois moral standards and way of life, while tackling the sensitive issue of cancer.
