Clutter-Free Programming - John Azariah (@johnazariah (https://twitter.com/johnazariah))

As software engineers, we're faced with the problem of writing bullet-proof code for production - we wrestle with null pointers, unhandled exceptions, unreliable network connections and asynchronous workflows, and we end up with complex patterns of infrastructural code interleaved with the logic in our programs. But is there a better way? Can we remove the clutter and still keep the safety? Come and listen to John Azariah talk about a practical approach commonly used by functional programmers to achieve this.

Who is this 'John Azariah' anyway?

John Azariah has been writing software for over two decades now, and is now starting to get the hang of it! He has worked in several companies in the US, India, Singapore, and Australia; and now spends his work week shuttling between Melbourne and Sydney.

He has spoken at several conferences including NDC Oslo; NDC London; TechEd AU; TechEd NZ and DDD Melbourne, and actively participates in the .NET, Azure and F# communities. He is an Azure MVP and a functional programming enthusiast.
