Main field Thursdays only. Park across the street or on corner parking lot.

## RULES:

## 1. Fouls

• Call your own fouls if you’re fouled.
• Host may also call fouls if clearly seen.
• HOST HAS FINAL SAY ON ALL TOUGH CALLS.

## 2. Free Kicks

• Opposing players must give 3 meters on all free kicks.
• If the penalized team deliberately fails to give 3 meters or delays the restart, the kicking team may restart immediately with either a free kick or a throw-in from the spot of the foul.
• Host raises one arm to signal an indirect free kick.

## 3. Handball Rules (Very Important)

### Inside ~5 meters of goal:

• Shot going toward goal + handball → automatic goal.
• Ball that might go in OR might go over the goal within 1 meter + handball → automatic goal
(spin/curve can change the ball’s path last second).
• Pass (not a shot) + handball → indirect free kick.

### Outside 5 meters of goal:

• Handball = direct free kick.
• Last defender cannot use hands at all.

Any hand use away from the body on a shot = goal.

## 4. No Penalties / No Corners

• No penalty kicks.
• No corner kicks (small goals cause overcrowding and no real advantage).
• Ball out over goal line → goal kick.

## 5. Sliding Rule (Safety First)

• No sliding near players.
• Sliding allowed only if nobody is close (example: saving a goal).

## 6. Player limits

• We will limit to 16 total plus Google employees on this Thursday game.

UPDATE: Games have been scheduled for Tuesday, Friday and Saturday based on current Leland Field availability. May change in the coming weeks so stay tuned. This event is perfect for soccer enthusiasts of all skill levels, so whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to have some fun on the field, everyone is welcome to join. We will normally be on the West field, but if it is taken, look for us on other fields. Bring dark and white shirts. For any day-of changes or information, we have a WhatsApp group. Due to bots joining we cannot share the link online, please ask to join the WhatsApp group in person if possible.

• Please try not to change your status from Yes to No on the day of the game. It makes it easier to plan the game out this way.
• The maximum number of players allowed in a game is 22
• Please sign up ASAP so we can confirm there is a game
• We may have Pinnies to help with the game not getting overcrowded, please understand that if you're late or on the waitlist you may not be able to join.
• If there are enough people on the waitlist, feel free to start a second game elsewhere on the field.
• If the number of players is less than 10, assume the game is canceled.
