NYC Gaming February: Demo Night

This is the place to see the newest games being built in NYC and meet the people who built them. Each month, we get together to watch six demos, drink beer and eat pizza. And we're doing it again this month at Microsoft. Come join our community of game developers, designers, creatives, investors and more building across multiple platforms and genres.

This month's demos include:

Alec Andronikov :: Just Sing It

Julian Volyn :: Tin Man Can

Jim & Julie Babb :: Bout

Vikram Subramanian :: Tossers

Josh Raab :: Nika

Nikhil Sinha :: Spell or Die

Jon Stokes :: Whiskers (Retrospective)

    Was I the only one who thought it was cruel to have the whole room vote on which game they liked the best? It must be hard enough demoing your personal work up there without being publicly judged like that.

      Thanks David. Yeah sorry about that Carlo. We typically do it via text so it's hidden but the site was down. Would be unfair to not announce a winner as people are looking forward to the prize.

    I have some fun ideas for games and would love to collaborate with developers to get something going. I do the audio/visual side just need the programming aspect! but would love to collaborate on visual/audio designers as well. SO we can work on my ideas or I can help you polish visuals/audio for your projects. Either way, feel free to contact me if you'd like to collaborate / barter services. -Shawn

    This was my first meetup. I didnt know a soul in the room but it was great energy everyone was very nice and welcoming. Met some great people who you could tell were passionate about games. Would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in the independent game scene to come by and check it out.
