Google I/O Recap

Hi Folks,

We are pleased to confirm that we will hold our Google I/O Recap of Google's annual developer conference on June 19th.This was a fun session last year, rich with content and given our speakers list this year we may best that.

We have 6 or 7 of our developers who have agreed to speak that went to California to attended Google's annual developer's event held May 15-17 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Its an exciting format, each developer will give a short talk about the most inspiring and interesting technology they experienced at I/O and after the talks the speakers will sit on a panel and answer questions from the audience.

We even have two speakers who picked up their Google Glass at I/O that will talk.

Thank you to our sponsors:

Brightcove is providing the venue

Enernoc is providing the refreshments.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Not a good use of time, unfortunately :-(
For one thing, the actual presentations started about an hour after
the meetup's official 6pm beginning, and were generally not worth
    waiting for.

We always have a period of networking, food, & drink before the actual presentations begin. We'll try to make this clearer in the agenda for newcomers.

Sorry, but this month's meeting was very disappointing.

Suggestions for how to improve the meetings are always welcome -- as are speakers & help organizing.

good recap in a very short amount of time. I enjoyed hearing about the brief list of items that made a difference for the presenter. Thank You for the effort !

Good topic, but would have appreciated more value in additional context (i.e. comments/insights) than repeating top level bullets that can be found in the videos.

yep...hard to give an overview and add extra insights on top of it in 5min. I tried to show how you could use the Game APIs outside of what they were intended for as well as cover a few performance details that weren't in the original videos...
Doing a session on Robotium/RoboElectric might be interesting...only one person seemed to do any testing using Robotium though :-(

hi michelle - it is easiest if your friend signs up, but if they are uncomfortable with their personal information, please email their name to me so I can add them to the entrance list and save time with onsite registration. Best

This looks like it could be fun. I was not able to attend Google IO Extended or had a chance to look at the videos from the event just yet.
