Good Eats and Meets invites you to take a road trip to enjoy a Southern style afternoon filled with "BBQ and Brews." Join us as we explore Hursey's BBQ and Red Oak Brewery, which are both a short drive from Charlotte near Bulington.

For those of you that want to carpool, please note in your RSVP notes how many people you can fit in your car. I have room for 3. I was thinking of a convenient place close to the freeway, near 277 that would be easy for folks to park and get on the highway quick. Let's meet at The Metrpolitan. They have tons of parking and we can meet in front of Trader Joes. Meet us at 10:15. We will leave at 10:30 sharp or you can meet us at Hursey's at 1. Hursey's is one of the oldest BBQ eateries in North Carolina, Hursey's. They been around since 1960. Don't miss your chance for a down home style BBQ feast.

After a delectable lunch, we will take a short 10 minute drive to visit one of the best North Carolina's Micro Breweries, Red Oak. There we will take part in a brewery tour and tasting, which starts at 3. The tour is $10 CASH ONLY and you get a Red Oak glass to keep. Red Oak is a North Carolina's Brewer of Fresh, Pure Bavarian Inspired Lagers. Only 4 ingredients. Unfiltered, Unpasteurized with Natural Carbonation!
