Good Day GEAM'ers,
I sent out a message a few weeks back that Restaurant Week was coming up and that I was hoping to have folks step forward with dinners for the group as my travel schedule has been super hectic as of late and that I simply cannot do it all by myself. Well, Queen's Feast starts THIS Friday and we have NO dinners up...Come on people, we have well over 4,000 people in the group and if we even get 1% of the group to post an event, we would have 40 events up. Is that too much to ask? Are there not folks in the group that would like to lead the way? It would be a HUGE disappointment if we don't have any events up. So, see what you can do, what places you want to go to, make some reservations and let's post it! Info below...
Good Eats and Meets is excited to announce one of the most exciting food times of the year... Charlotte Restaurant Week, also known as "Queen's Feast" is an excellent opportunity to sample the best dining Charlotte has to offer, with special menus and pricing. During this 10 day event, over 100 upscale restaurants offer 3 course meals (or even more) for just $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity).
It is my hope to have a Good Eats and Meets event almost every night of Queen's Feast, please check their site http://www.charlotterestaurantweek.com/main.html
Make some reservations and share with the group. Let's have some great Meetups! It is that easy! So, check your calendars and see what works best for you and let's get posting. You can suggest an event or send me details to [address removed]
Below is some more detailed info Charlotte Restaurant Week.
When is Charlotte Restaurant Week?
The 2013 version run from January 18 to January 27, 2013.
How do I participate in Queen's Feast?
The Charlotte Restaurant Week website offers these suggestions:
1)The best way to start is by visiting the Charlotte Restaurant Week website
2)Search participating restaurants by neighborhood or name.
3)Click on each restaurant’s name to view location, contact/reservation information, description, and the restaurant’s special Restaurant Week menu.
4)Make advance dinner reservations or call ahead for seating at the restaurant(s) where you would like to dine, as instructed on the individual restaurant’s CRW website page (either by telephone or online).
5)Arrive at the restaurant on the date and time reserved, tell the host/hostess your name and reservation time and that you are there to partake in the Restaurant Week menu.
6)No passes, tickets or restaurant coupons are required.
7)If for any reason you are unable to make it to a restaurant for your reserved seating, please be courteous by calling the restaurant as soon as possible in advance to cancel the reservation. Reservations/call-ahead are strongly recommended. Participating restaurants cannot guarantee walk-in seating during Charlotte Restaurant Week but will accommodate non-reserved guests if possible. If a restaurant has availability for the evening, walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
