Javascript Series 1, Class 1: INTRODUCTION TO JAVASCRIPT
Why do we use JavaScript? What is the DOM? What is a Function? What is an Event? What are variables? This class will cover how to do simple calculations using JavaScript. We will learn how to name our variables, the difference between global and local variables, and when to use both. We will also be meeting our good friend Firebug.
RSVP to this class guaruntees you a seat in all four classes in this series.
Prerequisites:
- Decent working knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Knowledge of current operating system and file directories
- Laptop (if you don't have one, let us know we have a few extras)

My main working laptop requires being plugged in at all times to function, will there be enough outlets available or should I make sure to come extra early to snag a good seat?
