CMS Shootout

What CMS is the best? You ask around and you will get a lot of different answers, and there may not be a right answer. It's like Ford vs. Chevy, or Michigan vs. Michigan State. We will have masters of their respective CMS's answer the same basic questions about how content is managed, how additional modules are added etc.

Submit your questions you would like us to ask our presenters to cover.

Topher - WordPress

Thanks Chad. We're going to try to do this a bit more consistently for those who can't make it.

Here's the link directly to CMS Shootout:. The link above is for Mutually Human's Ustream channel, and CMS Shootout is no longer the latest video there.

I usually build my own CMS but WordPress is nice when that isn't possible.

Hi! I'm a User Experience Lead, Software and Graphic Designer with a history in web.. would love to hear what people are using (particularly enjoying!) and very curious about the pros and cons of custom made, or sacrifices and or modification/building on top of packaged CMS out there. Sounds like a very informative discussion!

Ooooo. This sounds fun. I hope Craft is represented! It's the new kid on the block, but is incredible. I can demo some work we've done with Craft if you're looking for presentations.

Do you need a presenter (or several) to talk about WordPress?

I'd love to see a standard setup for measure ment, UX, dev friendly, generates compliant code, SEO friendly, stable, features in the box, plugins, costs (license, devs, hosting etc), Security, etc. Versus who can debate better and which side of the fence they are sitting on today.
