Lots of Rocks and 4 Hills to Climb--no ropes needed

probably 10 miles

DIFFICULTY: medium to hard because of the elevation gain and heat

THE RISKS: HEAT, RATTLE-SNAKES, AND SOME POISON OAK TO DODGE ON CHATSWORTH PEAK

THE PLAN: We will meet at Stoney Point park and climb to the top. A pretty short hike. Then we drive south on Topanga for 1 1/4 miles and turn right on Lassen for 1 mile and drive until it ends at Oakwood Cemetery. To the left of the cemetery entrance is the trailhead. We then go to the labyrinth rock, then climb the Stagecoach trail up to Lilac lane, then climb up to Chatsworth Peak (900 feet elevation gain from where we park), then drop down (600 feet) to Corriganville Park. We climb up a 200 foot tall rock formation there, then return the way we came (except we will go around Chatsworth Peak for the return)

It'll be warm--and not much shade--BRING AN UMBRELLA!!

There will be drinking water, shade and porta-potties at the mid-point in Corriganville Park
