Batman Caves and Hollywood Sign

Scott Hathaway put up this idea (after Anna's suggestion), and I was just thinking of doing this one already.

Directions: Beginning the hike at the top of Canyon Drive off of Franklin Ave (there is a Gelson's Market at the corner of Franklin and Canyon). You can see the map link by clicking the location at top of page.

I will borrow some of Scott's words...., free parking at two lots, we can visit the famous Bronson Caves, home of Batman and over 250 mostly Sci-Fi films. Then up Bronson Canyon to the fire road to the HOLLYWOOD sign. It's 2.5 miles each way, shady in the canyon, sunny near the top, beautiful views.

We will meet at the dirt parking lot on the right of the road approx. 1/4 mile after you go through the Park gates.

Bring drinking water and snacks. The weather will be a little warm.

I have limited attendance due to the fact that so many cars could be a problem for parking. Carpooling would be a good idea if you can swing it.

After the hike anyone is welcome to join me for a brew at the Big Fish in Glendale afterward. (San Fernando Rd. north of Broadway)
