Take 2 hours, climb the 300 stairs or take the switch-back trails to the top--we get a 360 degree view from Downtown L.A. to Malibu to Palos Verdes and can watch the sunset. (There are three routes to the top: the stairs, the switchback trail, and Hetzler Road.) Then we explore the various trails on the hilltop.

WHERE: The Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, located on Jefferson Blvd a half mile west of La Cienega Blvd.
MEET WHERE?: at the intersection of Jefferson and Hetzler road. There is a big entrance sign to the park there saying "BALDWIN HILLS SCENIC OVERLOOK".
DINNER AFTERWARD (at 8:45): at the vegetarian Indian restaurant called Bawarchi a mile away located at the southwest corner of Venice Blvd. and Motor Avenue. For ($9, more than you can probably eat, Come hungry, leave full). (Directions: from the Overlook, go south-west on Jefferson, Turn right at the first signal, Duquesne Avenue, then go north 1/2 mile to Venice Blvd and turn left. Go a few blocks west and turn left at Motor Avenue. Bawarchi is in a mini-shopping center with a Donut shop on the corner.)
