Hiking and outdoor activities supposed to bring out the positive spirit in person. But if someone gets angry and negative on trails. Those are not good sign of healthy spirit.learning to be positive and friendly will save you lot energy in life:-)

That's too bad if you heard negative/angry conversations. The good thing is that there was a lot of space so you can step away from them. That is what I usually so if I am unhappy with a conversation.

I had a great time with everyone. Such a friendly group of people.... I love hearing all the stories even stories about belly dancers. The diversity of the group makes for interesting and fun conversations. The food was amazing!!!

Nancy it was nice to be in your company at the table of honor. And Lee, belly dancers are about the only thing that could make that hike- potluck any better than it already is..

Thank you Faustino for leading the pack, and Ranger Bob for being the sweep. I was somewhere in the middle. Some said the moon came up late....no it was scheduled to appear about 8:30 and many of us lined the side of the hill watching it show itself.

The full Moon hiking once a month with great food and relaxed mood always makes me feel great! A little cold but it was nice even seeing the late Moon going back down. I just love this tradition :-)

I flew from Houston to arrive LAX at 2:30 but was 40 minutes late. Traffic from the airport is horrific, won't make it. I'll eat all the prosciutto myself. : -(

The best thing about LA Hiking is the diversity of people, tastes, and cultures. Spanish rice, cous cous, vegan, vegetarian, empanadas, enchiladas, carne asada, and snacks are all tasty and sabrosa! Bring what you enjoy!

Yes - I love to bring some kind of salad that I get at Signature Cafe - a little expensive, but you guys are worth it

Who said anything about belly dancers? Oh and Carey, I hope you don't intend on bringing just snacks... Lee makes it very CLEAR to NOT just bring snacks, but food as if you were going to any other pot luck. We've gone up before and that's all there was... snacks... he so disappointed! So just please reconsider the snacks.

      June 12, 2014

    • Lee Z.

OK, ok, everything is cool. Carey, your definition of snacks is not the same as what she means. Apple rings, dips, grapes...that's all good stuff. On a couple hikes just about everyone brought these little pkgs of nuts, or crackers or power bars or granola bars etc. and they were surprised to see the few others who brought chicken and sandwiches and fruit dishes, or rice dishes. The comments were - "Oh Gee....if only we had known"...so now we make a point of it.
