Silverlake Reservoir Loop x2 Speed Walk

BEGINNER WALK: Level 1/10
DISTANCE: 4- 4.5 miles total (one complete lap or going around once is equivalent to 2 miles )
TIME: 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending on how fast you are walking.

This is a easy and familiar walk along the Silverlake Reservoir. Since this loop is mostly flat, we will speed it up and do it twice for added difficulty.
The pace for this walk will be as fast as you can walk. In other words, this is not a stroll; the pace and form will be similar to power walking. This is not actual power walking, since I don't have experience for that, but this will mimic the pace and form a bit. No matter what your speed is, as long as you walk as fast as you safely can, you will reap the most benefits in less time. That being said, there is the possibility that the group will separate, but I will wait at the end of the walk at the very least to bid everyone a farewell.

We start at 6 pm sharp. Bring water, good walking shoes and a smile. Dogs on leashes, children on strollers and capable children on foot are also welcome.
Do not underestimate how long it will take for you to arrive and park.
Parking: I've done this walk with a friend many times and we have always used street parking around the reservoir, although we've never gone farther into the surrounding neighborhoods. As far as I'm concerned, there is no big parking lot, but street parking is always available. Just be a bit more cautious and come a bit early to find good, ticket-free parking.
