Parker Mesa loop, the hard way

Most groups take the 6 mile easy way to Parker Mesa. HOWEVER... The trail we're taking gains 1150 feet in elevation and gets there in half the distance.

At the top we can enjoy the ocean view and snacks.

We'll return to our cars using the wide fire-road.

DISTANCE: AROUND 4 1/2 MILES TOTAL, BUT IT'LL FEEL LIKE 6

TOPO MAP OF ROUTE: "B" is the starting point. "F" is Parker Mesa Overlook. Our route to the top follows the firebreak on the ridgeline all the way up.

We will return on the double-dashed road to the right on the map
