Monkeying around at Chantry Flats: Sturtevant and Hermit waterfalls

note: We will only be hiking and rock "scrambling" to these falls. I do not endorse diving into the pools like some loonies do. I may be crazy but I'm not stupid....

THE PLAN:

10AM: meet at corner of N. Santa Anita Avenue and Elkins for carpooling. Then around 10:15 AM, hike starts at this sign next to the restrooms at the Chantry Flats parking lot:

BRING LUNCH: WE WILL STOP FOR LUNCH AROUND 12:30

THE REST OF THE SCHEDULE: I haven't figured things out totally yet, whether we will see more than the two waterfalls, but most likely YES. Expect the hike to be done by 4 pm at the latest.... 'Cause I have a Christmas lights hike that starts at 7 pm tonight.

A $5 National Forest Adventure Pass is required to park in the Chantry Flats lot. It can be purchased at the Pack Station (burger stand etc on the upper west side of the parking lot.)

BRING ALL THE USUAL STUFF.....I'M NOT YOUR MOM.................Bring snacks, lunch, clothing (sorry, nude hikes are a different Meetup group), lots of water--3 liters, hat, comfy shoes, snacks, all your troubles..., camera, etc
