4 mile or so walk from Eaton Canyon Nature Center to Eaton waterfall.

BRING LUNCH OR JOIN US FOR PIZZA SLICES AFTERWARD

--Wear shoes you can get wet.

--Flat trail, almost no elevation gain (300 feet over 2 miles)

--Lots of stream crossings on rocks or just slosh your way across like I do, then stand under the falls and pose for embarrassing pictures...

--Meet at the Eaton Canyon nature center parking lot by the Nature Center building

(it has restrooms and running water)

--Park in the lot, if you're lucky, or park in the neighborhood, if you're not. There is no parking fee anywhere.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The hike is in Altadena, which is northeast of Pasadena. Take the 210 freeway to the Altadena Drive offramp, (which is between the Allen ave. and Sierra Madre Blvd offramps) go north (uphill) and just north of the intersection with New York Drive is the hard-to-see right turn into the Eaton nature center. The Google map calls it Veranda Ave.
