Descanso Gardens overlook trail -#2 of 4 musical monkey hikes this weekend

An exploration of the Rim of the Valley Trail system: to the hills above Descanso Gardens ending at Cerro Negro Peak with beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains. Mostly out and back route except we will loop around Cerro Negro peak.

LENGTH: 5 miles on mostly wide fire-road, some single-track at the top

Elevation Gain: 600 feet from trailhead to Cerro Negro
