TWO PARTER: BOTH START FROM INTERSECTION OF CAMINO SAN RAFAEL AND FLINTRIDGE DRIVE
HIKE FROM 6:00 TO 8:00 PM
THEN....SHORT EASY HIKE TO PEAK TO WATCH FIREWORK DISPLAYS: 8:15 TO 9:30pm
See fireworks in at least 3 directions
From here, we have an unobstructed view of fireworks shows at the Rose Bowl, La Crescenta elementary, Sunland-Tujunga, and CBS Studio Center in Studio City
So the plan is to meet at 6:00, and walk for about 2 hours. We'll pass Cerro Negro Peak and continue north towards Descanso Gardens, with about 200 feet of elevation gain each way. Then we return to our cars by 8:15, get our chairs and snacks out of our cars and walk a half mile up the mini-peak, plunk down on top of the peak and watch the fireworks.
BRING CHAIRS, SNACKS, DRINKS, MAYBE MOSQUITO REPELLENT, BLANKET, WARM CLOTHES, ETC FOR THE SHORT HIKE TO THE FIREWORKS-WATCHING PEAK
