PARAMOUNT MOVIE RANCH! HIKE AND PICNIC

In 1927 Paramount Pictures decided to buy up some land in Agoura hills and make themselves a movie ranch.
"Why?" you might ask.....because they were making a lot of westerns and you might have seen some. Almost every actor back in the day has been in a film that used this here movie ranch....such as Bob Hope, Gary Cooper, John Wayne, Kirk Douglas,The Cisco Kid - too many to name...And my Great Grandmother ''Lilly Langtree'' her stage name. May she rest in peace...

After World War 2 the studio sold the land off to the National Park Service who restored the western town to its old self and they still shoot movies up there in the Beautiful Santa Monica Mountains under the big mountain there called Sugarloaf.

"Now what does this all have to do with us?" you might be a wonderin'...well we is gonna be a hikin' up here in these here parts and afterwards we will be settlin' down to a good old fashioned picnic. So bring your vittles and share .

Now here's the plan.

We meet up at the front entrance with all our goodies for the hike and picnic exactly at ''High Noon'' and we goes for a nice easy 2.5 mile hike, ya see.. and then when we all get good and hungry we swoop down to the picnic area and have ourselves a ''picnic''.... just like Billy the Kid. He was a little strange...

STATS=2.5 MILES.. ELEVATION 200 FEET..DURATION 1.5 HOURS..

What to bring hiking shoes, water, food. Food to share And a peaceful vibe to spread around.and a guitar or two, a banjo, a harmonica your voice your dancin' shoes your mom your dad ,your sister,your aunt.your kids.. And your dog! Dogs are o'k at Paramount Ranch..it's a national park..
