Mount Islip/Little Jimmy

On the way back we will take a break at the Little Jimmy Campground and detour the extra half mile to the natural spring. From the summit we will be able to see Crystal Lake and into the San Gabriel River Canyon.

Trailhead: Fromn the 210 Frwy. in La Canada, take the Angeles Crest Highway (2) 39.5 miles to a urnout on the right, 1.5 miles past the 2 tunnels. There is a forest service road with a yellow gate about 5 feet past the turnout. Head up this dirt road to the junction with the trailhead.
