Boney Mountain-Sandstone Peak rock exploration via Mishe Mokwa loop

Details
BONEY MOUNTAIN EXPLORATION--ALL THE PEAKS
LOCATED IN THE FAR WEST SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS
Hey,
we're going to do the usual Mishe Mokwa trail loop starting at 2000 feet elevation at Triunfo Pass, going up by 1100 feet to Sandstone Peak and Tri-Peaks, but we're also exploring the side trails to Balanced Rock and the 2793 foot peak north of Split Rock. Then we will continue the loop and take the side trip to Tri-Peaks (3010 feet) and finally summit at Sandstone Peak, which is 3111 feet and the tallest in the Santa Monica Mountains.
Length: between 8 and 10 miles. Medium level of difficulty except for exploration north to the un-named 2793 foot peak, which I have never done before. Google maps shows a trail here so I'm going to check it out. If it's too difficult, we'll stick to the peaks with better-marked trails
AFTERWARD: dinner at Neptune's Net for the survivors, located at PCH and Yerba Buena Road.
